CSPGNO students rally to action during the “UNIS” event!

On October 29th, CSPGNO students will come together for action in an event called “UNIS” (United). In a spirit of celebration, UNIS will bring together hundreds of participants at Collège Boréal for a day of awareness-raising and motivational presentations by speakers, activists and artists. As they share their experiences, anecdotes and resources, these special guests will inspire students and provide them will tools to realize their full potential as agents for change, both locally and internationally.

CSPGNO is quite proud to unveil the programming for this day-long event filled with positive energy which has been under development for some time.

Presenters will include:

Anick Gervais: speaker and participant in the TV program Big Brother Canada
Anik Dennie: CSPGNO graduate and student at Laurentian University
Automat: pop-rock band
Céleste Lévis: singer-songwriter and finalist on the TV program La Voix
Hélène Campbell: double lung transplant patient
Janique Labelle and The Black Bull Moose Singers: aboriginal artists
Ryan Benoît: founder of the organization The Positive Inception
Tristan Rhéaume-Jones: speaker for Enfants entraide / Free The Children

“Be it through their participation in the campaign Unis pour le changement (United for Change), which collected over 400,000 pennies across all of the board’s schools for Enfants entraide / Free the Children, or through clubs like OUIcare at École secondaire Hanmer which raised over $15,000 for local charities and provided countless hours of volunteer work, our students prove that together, we can make a difference,” said Jean-Paul Courtemanche, CSPGNO cultural facilitator.
